Education Professions

The Education Professions Pathway introduces students to teaching careers, certification requirements, and current educational trends, anchored by a foundational 20-hour classroom observation. Students examine child and adolescent development theories, exploring the biological, cultural, and environmental factors influencing growth, while learning to integrate modern instructional technology and best practices into the classroom. The pathway culminates in an extensive capstone field experience where students apply inclusive teaching techniques, study special education laws, and analyze literacy development through children’s literature.
